Bruno “Bruce” Clerbout (06/10/1976) became a professional triathlete in 2008 after years of teaching grade school. His most remarkable results include a third place finish in the Ironman Wales and a fourth place  in the France Ironman (2007 and 2010) and in the mythical Embrunman. In 2009, Bruno won the OD triathlon in his hometown of Kapelle-op-den-Bos; in 2008 he won the Metz triathlon. Finishing third in the 2011 Ironman Wales, Bruno captured his first Ironman podium spot. In 2009, Bruno crossed the Hawaii Ironman finish line, his first time competing in the race, as the second Belgian. It was enough to make him fall in love with the Ironman Hawaii. Naturally, qualifying for and recording a great result in Kona are Bruno’s main goals for 2012.
